Estrid Ericson had a real knack for putting the right flowers in the right vases, and she felt that there should be as many vases as there are species of flowers. Throughout the years, however, she limited herself to four classic vases that she recommended for every home: Syltkrukan (the Jam Pot), Ingefärskrukan (the Ginger Pot), Tennbägaren (the Pewter Chalice) and Muggen (the Mug).

Svenskt Tenn is an interior design shop located on Strandvägen in Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson, who recruited Josef Frank to the company 10 years later. Together they created the elegant and boldly patterned personal interior design style that continues to pervade the collection to this day.
