Vase 13 was designed in 1957 by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn. As a protest against the many swan-shaped fashion vases of his time, he designed this new, bolder shape among others. The vase is as practical as it is beautiful, both with and without flowers.
The vase is blown in a wooden mold at Skruf Glassworks in Småland, Sweden. The wooden mold changes character with time and the shape of the vases can therefore vary. Occasional bubbles can occur in the glass. This is a sign of real craftsmanship and should be seen as a friendly greeting from the glassblower to you.
