    “Bless this house oh Lord we pray, make it safe by night and day.” This trivet was originally introduced in the 1950s by Estrid Ericson, as a door decoration to protect the home from all evil. The text is the first line in a song written in 1927 by Helen Taylor and composed by May Brahe. The trivet stands on pads of rubber that can melt of exposure to high temperatures and damage the surface below.

  • Care instructions

    Clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of detergent and wipe dry. The trivet should not be soaked in water or machine washed. It is designed to hold hot pots, but you should avoid extremely high temperatures and keep in mind that some surfaces may be extra sensitive to heat.
