Josef Frank designed Armchair 966 in 1938. It was shown in New York World’s Fair in 1939, where Svenskt Tenn's innovative and different designs made great success.
With its horseshoe-shaped backrest and flared legs there is clearly some inspiration from ancient klismos- and sulla chairs. The armchair was in Estrid Ericson’s interior at her summerhouse “Twelve Oaks” in 1952 upholstered in a leopard-patterned fabric.
Price excluding fabric.
