Sophia Edstrand grew up in Sweden and lived in Stockholm until she turned 18. She then travelled to Paris where she met jewellery designer Marie Helene de Taillac, who introduced her to a colourful world full of exceptional jewellery designs. When Sophia travelled to Jaipur, India for the first time, she stumbled upon the traditional embroidery technique that distinguishes her imaginative creations today. The Sophia 203 brand was founded in 2012. Today Sophia is based in Tokyo and her collections often have Japanese influences.
