At Svenskt Tenn, we have gathered everything you need for the Advent celebrations. Light up the winter gloom with an Advent candle holder in brass, Advent stars in beautiful patterns and hand-dipped candles in the colours of Christmas. Here, you can also find everything you need for your Advent table setting: a Christmas tablecloth, napkins, porcelain, cups, dishes and much more.

Advent candle holders

Svenskt Tenn’s online Christmas range includes several different Advent candle holders, both in brass and pewter. The most classic is the candle holder “Slingan” (“The Loop”), designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn in the 1950s. Slingan is a timeless candle holder that can be used all year round, but it is ideal during Advent. Josef Frank wanted to create a wave effect in candle holder, and he achieved this by cleverly bending the material and placing four candle holders on top. This design has an exciting, organic form, almost reminiscent of a flowering vine. The candle holder is available in two different variants: in brass and silver-plated brass.

Designer Erika Pekkari has created two Advent candle holders in brass for Svenskt Tenn: Candle Holder Evig (Eternal) and Candle holder Fröjd (Rejoice). Evig is shaped like an eternal circle, where one can add decorations around the outer ring or in the middle. The Fröjd (Rejoice) candleholder was created to spread light and add lustre to the table setting, inspired by the traditional metal craft of braiding.

The range also includes Jakob Solgren’s pewter candle holders “Gren” (Branch), available in four different sizes, all shaped like cut off branches. The nature-inspired collection is an elegant and innovative alternative to the classic advent candlestick.

Advent table setting

Set the table for Advent with red napkins, patterned fabrics, hand dipped candles, elegant dishes, and beautiful brass details.

During Advent, many invite family and friends to celebrate with a classic, Swedish Advent fika, and it is mostly appreciated to set the table in an atmospheric way.

For this year's Christmas collection, the artist and designer Evelina Kroon has created a Christmas tablecloth and textile napkins, with squares in a colour palette inspired by Josef Frank's Mirakel print. Combine the Christmas tablecloth with beautiful porcelain cups from French Gien or from the artist Mamma Andersson's collection "Discreet Charm". Serve saffron buns, cakes, nuts and apples in Josef Frank's Jardiniere Hortus, in the Vilda, Sigurd and Svea bowls by Jan Sifvert or on the decorative serving platter “Filet”. Find everything you need for a decorative Advent table setting this Christmas.
