The decorative tree in silver-plated brass was created by Carina Seth Andersson and Jakob Solgren for Christmas 2019. The inspiration for it came from Josef Frank’s “Figaro och Tolvekarna” fabric print, which he designed for Svenskt Tenn in 1940. The name Figaros Ranka (Figaro’s Vine) originates from Estrid Ericson’s summerhouse Tolvekarna, outside Tyresö, where the domesticated canary bird Figaro was allowed to fly freely. The vine pays homage to Josef Frank’s whimsical world of prints and Estrid Ericson’s characteristic collecting of objects. Figaro sits at the top, looking out over the surroundings.

  • Care instructions

Silver is a natural material that reacts when it comes in contact with air, resulting in oxidation. The speed in which oxidation takes place depends on, for example, humidity. Surfaces change over time; Shiny surfaces become somewhat duller while duller surfaces can get shinier.

Clean the surface with a soft cloth. For a deeper cleaning we recommend a gentle, non-abrasive polish. Avoid using brushes, steel wool and the like. Also avoid lengthy contact with oxides that can cause permanent damage. To avoid water damage, keep surfaces dry with a soft cloth.
