Svenskt Tenn's conditions of sale and delivery regarding deliveries outside the European Union.
These sale and delivery conditions, called the Conditions below, apply to all orders made on Svenskt Tenn’s website, www.svenskttenn.se, called the Website below, and from Svenskt Tenn’s customer service, when the customer is a consumer and the order is to be delivered to a country that is not an EU Member State.
A consumer means a natural person making a transaction for purposes that fall outside business activity.
If the law of a country other than Sweden is applicable, the Conditions apply where they do not deviate from the applicable mandatory Swedish consumer legislation. Svenskt Tenn obviously complies with the applicable mandatory consumer legislation.
In order to fulfil the contract we are obliged to collect and process personal data. The information you give on registration, namely name, address, phone number and e-mail address is registered and processed in order to process you order by Svenskt Tenn and the transport company we use. We only use the data to fulfil the contract. The information is saved for seven years.
As a customer at Svenskt Tenn, you are entitled to several rights regarding your personal data.
You also have the right to submit a complaint to a competent data protection authority (in Sweden called “Datainspektionen”). Your personal data will not be sent to any third parties (with the exception of what is stated above), be transferred to any party in a country outside of the EU or be processed for any other purpose than what has been mentioned above. Orders are made via our Website or through customer service. When you click on the purchase button, you enter a contract with Svenskt Tenn.
Orders being delivered to countries outside the EU are VAT-exempt. VAT-registered companies in the EU are VAT-exempt. A valid VAT number must be submitted to Customer Service.
Please check that your order is correct on receipt. If something is wrong or is to be changed, please contact Customer Service right away.
For all contacts with Customer Service, we recommend that you have the order confirmation available. Swedish legislation requires us to request the signature of a guardian for orders made by customers under 18 years of age.
Value added tax (VAT) and customs
Prices on the Website include value added tax of 25%. VAT is not payable on orders where the delivery is made to a country that is not an EU Member State. There may be customs costs depending on the legislation in the country to which the order is delivered. Any charges for VAT and customs duties are paid by the customer. Unfortunately, Svenskt Tenn is unable to inform the customer of these charges and the administration concerning the import of the products and the payment of VAT and customs duties is the customer’s own responsibility.
The prices given are excluding freight. Freight costs are additional and have to be paid by the customer. You will be informed of the freight cost when you make your order.
For orders made through the Website you can, among other things, choose bank, credit card or invoice payment. All payments by invoice are made via Klarna, and for questions regarding an invoice, you contact Klarna directly.
When making a purchase through your bank or by credit card, Adyen B.V. manage all transactions, which are done with secure encryption and according to strict bank norms. Your card details are sent directly to the bank and cannot be read or retrieved by anyone other than your bank. We also practice the use of 3D Secure for validation of certain credit cards.
Svenskt Tenn does not charge any extra fees for card payments. When paying by credit or with debit card, our terms take effect as soon as the card transaction has been approved.
When you order through customer service, you pay by payment in advance to our bank account. For security reasons, we do not accept card or invoice payments for orders made through customer service.
We always offer you a secure payment method. We cooperate with Docdata Payments, which meets the PCI DSS requirements. All card details and your personal data are encrypted, which means that only authorised persons can access the information.
Because some products are custom-made or not kept in stock and may have been discontinued or it is no longer possible for Svenskt Tenn is no longer able to deliver them for some other reason, orders are not binding on Svenskt Tenn until Svenskt Tenn has sent an order confirmation to the customer.
We reserve the right to change prices in the event of circumstances outside the control of Svenskt Tenn, such as exchange rate changes, higher purchase or manufacturing prices or higher VAT. We also reserve the right to cancel orders when the product is obviously incorrectly priced.
Some products not kept in stock must be ordered via our customer service. We charge a deposit of at least 20% of the price of the product. The deposit must reach us before we order the product.
We must receive full payment of the price of the product before delivery.
If you want to cancel the product, you are obliged under Section 41 of the Swedish Consumer Sales Act to reimburse us for our costs and losses, unless you have the possibility of using your right of withdrawal.
Purchase on approval or an exchange right do not apply to custom-made products and products not kept in stock.
The delivery method, conditions, delivery time and cost vary depending on the country and type of product. Products bought via Svenskt Tenn’s website are only delivered to Sweden, Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. For other countries, contact customer service.
The normal delivery time is 7-12 days outside the EU. Customer service can notify a preliminary delivery time.
In certain cases a delivery notice can be obtained from the carrier if you gave your mobile number and email when making the order.
Even though we do our utmost to deliver what has been ordered in the time promised, something can go wrong. If the delivery takes longer than promised, we ask you to contact customer service right away so that we can look into why the delivery is delayed. If the delay is of material significance to you, you may be entitled to terminate the contract. Contact us right away if your delivery is late and it is important for you to receive the product within a certain period of time.
Damage in transports
We have chosen carriers who are, in our view, guarantees of good quality in their deliveries. Despite this, damage in transport may occur. As the buyer you are responsible for examining the product and packaging for any visible damage on receipt or as soon as possible thereafter. Period of withdrawal and notice
Our aim is for you to be completely satisfied with the product or products you buy from us. If you shop from our Website or our customer service, you therefore have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 30 days from when you receive the product. But you must notify our customer service of this, see the contact information below.
We ask you to note that not collecting a package or not accepting a delivery is not regarded as a use of the right of withdrawal.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products manufactured according to your special wishes or products that have become clearly personalised in some other way on account of your order, for example custom-made furniture and made-to-measure curtains.
If you withdraw from your purchase, you must send the product back to us unused (but you are allowed to examine the product to see that is not faulty), along with the enclosed return label and in its original condition. The product should be returned in its original packaging. But you have to pay for the cost of the return freight yourself.

You can also return the product direct in our shop at Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm. If you return a product in our shop, we kindly ask you to bring the order confirmation.
As the customer, you are responsible for the product not being damaged or disappearing during the return freight, so we ask you to be aware of the suitability of ensuring that the product is insured and that it is well-packed.
We will refund what you have paid for the product, excluding our freight cost, within 30 days from when we received the product.
In addition to the right of withdrawal, we give you a full 30-day right of exchange irrespective of whether the order was made on our Website or from our customer service. That period is counted from the order date. You can exchange the product for another product of equivalent or lower value or you can receive a credit corresponding to what you paid for the product. If you change to a cheaper product than the one you are returning, you receive a credit for the difference.
You can exchange the product with another by placing a new order on our website. If you want to exchange the product, you must return it unused in its original packaging and enclose the receipt for the purchase. If the product was part of an offer on certain conditions, for example an extra product with the purchase, all products covered by the offer must be returned.

Despite our own and our suppliers' high quality standards, individual items may be defective.
If a product is defective and you complained about this in due time, we will obviously ensure that the product is repaired or replaced.
To be able to prove that you bought the product from us, it is important that you still have your order confirmation. So always be sure to save the order confirmation.
Complaints about defects in products and about defects and delays in deliveries have to be made in writing to Svenskt Tenn within a reasonable period of time, i.e. as soon as possible.
If the complaint is not made within a reasonable period, you lose the right to take any remedies under the Consumer Sales Act against Svenskt Tenn.
Svenskt Tenn’s ambition is for all its customers to be satisfied. In the first place we always try to reach an agreement with you if something has gone wrong.
If we are unable, despite our efforts, to come to an agreement, we recommend that you contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) (www.arn.se) for an independent examination. The address is:

Alternative dispute resolutions
The EU Commission provides an online platform for dispute resolution and information. The rules are aimed at ensuring that consumers can have a consumer law dispute tried through alternative dispute resolution, i.e. outside the general courts. Instead, the dispute can be tried by a board. As a consumer, you can turn to the EU Commission’s online platform for alternative dispute resolution: European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (EU ODR).
Svenskt Tenn makes a reservation for any clerical or printing errors, and cannot be held liable for damage resulting from such an error.
The price information on the Website is an offer and no agreement has been made until Svenskt Tenn has confirmed the order or the purchase.
We do not accept any responsibility for packages that have not been collected within a reasonable period of time. Uncollected packages that are returned to us are transported at your risk and we are not responsible for the product after it has been returned to us either. So it is important that you collect or accept delivery of your package even if you have changed your mind.
For uncollected packages we charge a fee that corresponds to the cost of freight, return freight and handling.

Svenskt Tenn is exempted from fulfilling the delivery if the due fulfilment of the delivery is prevented by a circumstance outside its control that Svenskt Tenn could not reasonably have expected when making the contract and whose consequences Svenskt Tenn could not reasonably avoid or overcome, such as a labour dispute, fire, accident, war, decision of a public authority or some other circumstance that was outside Svenskt Tenn’s control and that has a material effect on Svenskt Tenn’s due fulfilment of the contract.
