Svenskt Tenn’s classic weekend bag is decorated with a brass zipper, a clasp and leather details. Inside, there is a detachable key ring and a pocket. Josef Frank designed the print and Svenskt Tenn designed the form.
While working as a guest lecturer in New York from 1943-1945, Josef Frank designed two map prints. One of them was called Dixieland, after the American south. In the print’s three main fields is the Atlantic with its surrounding continents. Josef Frank presents an Africa full of giant sunflowers and the mighty Amazon full of watermelons, while the oceans’ foam swells against the beaches. Dixieland was printed for the first time in connection with Svenskt Tenn’s anniversary exhibition in 1974.
