The “New Swedish Pewter” collection was created prior to Svenskt Tenn’s 80-year anniversary in 2004. It was developed by 10 female Swedish designers to honour Svenskt Tenn’s founder Estrid Ericsson. The generous Myrtle plate in pewter was designed by ceramist Signe Persson-Melin, and is part of the Myrtle service. The service consists of a tea service in pewter with matching mugs in delicate fine bone china. Everything in the series has a graceful imprint of myrtle leaves, which are traditionally used in bridal crowns.
