Textile La Plata 315 Linen

When Annes House at Millesgården was decorated by Svensk Tenn in 1950, Josef Frank’s pattern Drinks adorned her living room suite. Carl Milles thought the design was too dark and busy for his secretary Anne Hedmark, as he had envisioned blue skies and white wispy clouds for her. The furniture was subsequently recovered with La Plata. The pattern was designed sometime during1943-1945 and received its name from Rio de la Plata, the great river estuary outside of Buenos Aires.
