Svenskt Tenn presents three new textile designs

Blue Aramal, turquoise Elephant, and Creek – textile news at Svenskt Tenn

Svenskt Tenn presents three textile news: Aramal by Josef Frank, which was first printed in 2009, comes in a new blue color and Elephant by Estrid Ericson comes in turquoise. Designer Maya Kessler’s pattern Creek is the third new fabric.

”Aramal and Elephant, both designed over 70 years ago, appear just as timeless and modern as the brand new Creek,” says Thommy Bindefeld, Marketing Manager at Svenskt Tenn. “They complement our range of textiles with summery colors and patterns.”

Svenskt Tenn offers a range including one hundred fabrics in different qualities and designs. The majority are own designs, supplemented by select products from both Swedish and international designers. Maya Kessler is a Swedish illustrator and textile designer. For Svenskt Tenn, she has created the striped pattern Creek in two different colors that are meant to play with – but not necessarily match – Josef Frank’s designs.

”I was looking to create an independent and playful fabric,” says Maya Kessler. “An organic stripe evolved, resembling water. With its broad fields of color, the fabric can take completely different expressions depending on how you use it.”
