‘’To Be Perfectly Frank,’’

Svenskt Tenn brings Michael Anastassiades to Sweden.

Between February 4 and March 31, Svenskt Tenn will be teaming up with designer Michael Anastassiades to present the exhibition ‘’To Be Perfectly Frank‘’. Located at the Svenskt Tenn store in Stockholm, the exhibition represents the launch of a new collection designed exclusively for the brand by Michael Anastassiades, including lighting, furniture and accessories.

‘’To Be Perfectly Frank’’ will be Anastassiades’ debut exhibition in Sweden, although many will recognize his work from the interiors of the Mathias Dahlgren restaurant at the Grand Hotel and the Ett Hem hotel in Stockholm, designed by Ilse Crawford. Internationally, Anastassiades’ work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the V&A in London and the MAK in Vienna.

Michael Anastassiades is known for creating minimalist objects. Positioned between art and design he produces work mainly in lighting, but also furniture and jewelry. He lives and works in London.

‘’Michael Anastassiades has a contemporary idiom, and a strong sense of craftsmanship and quality that we share. He often uses brass, a material that many of Svenskt Tenn’s products are produced in too‘’ said Thommy Bindefeld, Marketing Manager at Svenskt Tenn.

‘’To Be Perfectly Frank,’’ invites the viewers on a journey where they are presented with reinterpretations of famous Josef Frank pieces. Some of these will be available in a limited edition in conjunction with the exhibition, while other will be included in Svenskt Tenn’s regular range.
